Dr. Wojcieszek’s presentation, “The Future of HDR Brachytherapy: locally recurrent prostate cancer,” will discuss how:

• HDR Brachytherapy is excellent to treat local prostate cancer recurrence
• Radiobiological features of HDR allow sterilizing relapsing cells inside the prostate
• The outcome is similar to other methods; however, GI toxicity is the lowest
• There is a great need to coordinate prospective research on salvage HDR worldwide
